We produce premium malts that express the distinct character of grains grown in Ontario. Produced in small batches using a traditional floor malting technique, our malts are highly aromatic and will offer distinct character and flavour to your next brew. Both our lager & pale ale malts provide excellent brewhouse performance, with exceptional extract potential, yeast nutrition and diastatic power. Our malts provide enough flavour and performance to stand alone to create a brew using 100% traceable Ontario malts. All our barley malts are currently produced using a 2-row variety, Newdale, which has been grown in Prince Edward County, Ontario. We will soon be moving into a wider range of grain sources grown in 2016.
Lager Malt - This malt is a lightly kilned, pale malt with a nice biscuit aroma that finishes dry. An excellent choice to highlight the flavours of Ontario grown hops.
Pale Ale Malt - A versatile pale malt that is moderately kilned, providing lightly toasted notes with a mild malty finish. Great for a wide range of North American and British style ales.
Munich Malt - Our germination and kilning processes for this malt are designed to promote melonoidin development. Our Munich provides medium/deep amber colour with a pronounced toasted and robust malty flavour. Use this malt to add character and a little sweetness to any recipe.
